FAQs
Q- Anaphylaxis can be a scary topic, how much information does Kyle Dine give to students?
A- Kyle never goes further than saying that food allergies can make you very sick and need to go to the hospital. The show is not about scaring children about the condition, but empowering them with knowledge of how they can help those affected.
Q- Does Kyle Dine tailor his show for the older students?
A- Of course! It's a much more dynamic show that involves the students. Kyle's powerful stories and trivia based learning truly engages the older grades. He does still use puppets, but has completely different bits for them using current songs (Macklemore, Pharrell etc.)
Q - Does he require a large set up?
A - Kyle is proud to be completely self-sufficient as he knows schools are a busy place. He will bring all of his own equipment and only requires a space with an electrical outlet nearby.

Testimonials"I am proud that my assemblies have only received the utmost positive reviews and that I keep being asked back to schools that I perform at." Kyle Dine
Kyle, thank you again. You really had an impact on our students and staff. Children with medical alert bracelets are wearing them. Yesterday a kindergartner broke out in hives and swollen lips after school and the doctor administered an EpiPen. He was so totally calm about it thanks to you. Principal from Pelham, NY

I would like to thank you very much for coming to present two Allergy Awareness Assemblies at our school. Students and teachers alike found the assemblies both informative and entertaining. You really know how to grab the students' attention and keep them engaged! We found this information to be an excellent way of reviewing and underscoring the messages that we have been giving our students about their classmates with food allergies. Thanks again for the fine work that you do! Teacher, Seattle, WA
What a great show today!!!! Thank you again for coming. The kids had a blast, and my daughter can't stop talking about " Epi-Man" We will for sure have you back, and tell all the schools on our district about you!! Thanks again!! Kyle B, Martin Ave School
After educating and discussing the importance of educating on a larger scale, your assembly was finally enjoyed by so many today at our school. We have many friends who have allergies like us and finally all these children have a cool, talented and educational spokesperson-YOU- to be their voice. I truly cannot thank you enough. my children raved about you, your songs, puppets and humor that they wish to see you again. Thanks for making allergies approachable, cool and fun! Delores, Long Island, NY
Kyle, thank you for 2 amazing assemblies at our school today. The students were engaged and entertained the entire time and learned a ton. You covered all of the important info and did it in an age appropriate manner. We are so lucky that we were able to see you perform. Suzy, Long Island, NY
Susie Symptoms works! I am a nurse and have taught my daughter about her symptoms and she has books about it. But I could tell that your performance really connected with her. I picked her up from Karate on Monday and she said "I"m having an allergic reaction" and listed her symptoms. She in fact was have a contact reaction. She had hives, coughing & felt itchy. This is all very common for her but her understanding of it has all changed since your performance! In the past she would have focused on one symptom and say that she was itchy or coughing. This was the first time I've ever heard her say "I am having an allergic reaction". She's definitely got a much better understanding from your show!
You visited our school in April. The performance was terrific and I know it had a positive impact on all of the students. But, I want to share with you the positive impact you had on one student in particular. Yesterday, a student came to me directly after lunch to tell me he didn't feel well and that he had just eaten a cashew. This student is in 5th grade and is not on my radar as an allergy kid - he didn't have any known allergies. He looked at me and said" my throat is closing and I need the EpiPen" So, I immediately gave him the EpiPen and called "911".
He went to the hospital as this is our protocol and his Mom and Dad met him there. His parents came to school later in the day to let us know he was fine and to bring his new EpiPens. His parents stated they asked him how he knew he needed the EpiPen and he told them "I knew from the Assembly we had at school". I had tears in my eyes after hearing this and I just felt you should know the impact your performance had on this one student!
